DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR BOSS

"Got this forwarded e-mail again. I don't know if this is really a fact but sometimes I'd like to believe it's true." c",)

When you take a long time, you're slow.

When your boss takes a long time, he's thorough.

When you apply for leave, you must be going for an interview.
When
your boss applies for leave, it's because he's overworked.

When you don't do it, you're lazy.
When your boss doesn't do it, he's too busy.

When you're on a day off sick, you're always sick.
When your boss is on a day off sick, he must be very ill.

When you make a mistake, you're an idiot.
When your boss makes a mistake, he's only human.

When doing something without being told, you're overstepping your
authority. When your boss does the same thing, that's initiative.

When you take a stand, you're being bull-headed.
When your boss does it, he's being firm.

When you overlooked the rules of etiquette, you're being rude. When
your boss skips a few rules, he's being original.

When you please your boss, you're brown-nosing.
When your boss pleases his boss, he's being co-operative.

When you're out of the office, you're wandering around.
When your boss is out of the office, he's on business.

When you do something wrong, you take the blame
And when you do something right, your boss gets the praise.

WHY WE SWING OUR ARMS WHEN WE WALK

"During the noontime break, a friend of mine asked me why we swing our hands when we walk. I , too questioned myself , why? my mind keeps asking me so I look for anwers on the net and here's what I got."

Arm-swinging improves biomechanical efficiency, says Michael McPartland, Ph.D., of Harvard's BioMotion Laboratory. Notice during a walk or run that your limbs are "out of phase," left leg forward and right arm backward, etc. This way, body torque from the leg and arm swings counter each other, stabilizing the torso and head.

To prove this, try a brisk walk or slow jog with arms tightly crossed against your chest. Now both your hips and shoulders will rotate by an undesirable amount, wasting energy. Or try jogging and moving your arms "in phase," right arm and left arm forward together, etc. "This is very difficult and unnatural. And the faster you jog, the goofier it gets!"
